The cover shows
live yeast cells expressing two plasmids: one a fusion between green
fluorescent protein containing a nuclear localization signal and the
RNA-binding protein, MS2, and the other a reporter mRNA containing
the MS2 RNA-binding sites with a 3' untranslated region from the ASH1
mRNA, sufficient for localization to the bud. The complex of the protein
with the mRNA carries the GFP fusion out of the nucleus, where it
forms green particles that localize in the bud.
